365 Days of Sin: Magus Night, Part 3

-RELGION, REGGI'S RAVING RAMEN, SUSHI, AND HIBACHI-

Great food. Good vibes. Affordable prices.

That was the motto Reggi's lived by. The owner, Reginald Durai, simply could not let any one person, whether it be human, demon, or anything inbetween, go without food. So he strived to make the best ramen that he could and make it as cheap as possible. The affordability drew customers all over the Overworld and Underworld, enough so that he could afford to make the place a little bit snazzier and upgrade it to a sushi bar. More customers came, more money flowed in, and finally, it became what it is now: A place for anyone to hang out and have a taste of the Far East, without bleeding their wallets dry.

Scarlet loved coming here for the ramen and to talk to friends. It was always busy and loud, with all the cheery vibes everybody had just by relaxing and eating together. The smell of steak and seafood wafted about as demons witnessed hibachi chef tricks, what with their onion volcanos and egg juggling skills. Just being here made her smile as children had their first taste of quality food and laughed and played among the adults chatting about the latest developments.

She didn't smile for long, though, as she took a seat at the bar, where a hooded demon enjoyed a plate of sushi rolls, and a big, blue tiger demon, wearing what looked like a gi and a bandana around his head, carefully sliced sushi in utter silence.

Tina and Sora took seats beside Scarlet as the tiger demon handed them a menu. They all glanced through the menu before the purple haired succubus pulled out coupons from her little white purse, along with five dollars.

"Dragon roll special," she said.

"California Roll," Sora added with a smirk.

"One heaping bowl of pork ramen," Scarlet demanded.

The tiger demon looked down at the coupons and picked them up. He then took up the five dollar bills and stashed them in a pouch hanging at his hip, pulling out two dollars and handing it back.

Tina smiled as she took the bills back and said, "A normally 13 dollar meal, gotten for only 3 bucks! I am the best at saving money!"

As the demon handed the succubi their meals, Scarlet glanced over at the demon beside her. His plate still had quite a few sushi rolls on it, even as he was chowing down on them pretty fast. She opened her mouth to say something, but hesitated. What if this guy wasn't the right one? Anyone could order stupid amounts of sushi, right? No, it had to be him. But what if their bribe wasn't enough? Trying to take down someone like him in a restaurant was a death wish. Should they really be doing this?

Before she could get her words out, the demon beside her asked, "Isn't it a little rude to stare at someone like that? Especially his plate?"

No more time for hesitation, Scarlet thought.

"Just making sure it was you and not some other gluttonous jerk."

"You wouuund me, Scarly!" the demon sighed, placing hand to his heart  and leaning back as if he were about to faint. "Wound me, I tell you! Who else would sit here and eat 50 rolls by himself, hmmmm? Have you ever asked yourself that?"

"No, because quite frankly, I have better things to think about."  Tina pulled out her last coupon, staring at it wistfully before sliding it down to Scarlet. Scarlet slid it over to the hooded demon and continued, "Tell us everything about the Flower Witches. Don't hold anything back."

The demon took the coupon and stared at it. It was one of those punch-hole coupons, where every time you ordered something, you got a hole punched in. Four got a free bowl of ramen.

 This card had 12.

The hood came off, revealing the grinning demon underneath, with his stupid idiot hairs and even stupider butler outfit.

"Oh, I wouldn't hold anything back for you, dear Scarly," said Gluttony, as he turned in the coupon to the tiger demon and eagerly awaited his meals. He straightened up a little before he turned to Scarlet and asked, "The Flower Witches, hm? What piqued your interest?"

"The fact that we're broke," Tina admitted, slumping in her chair before nibbling at her sushi. "Dead or alive, these girls will give us some reaaaally badly needed cash!"

"And they've been causing trouble around here, and I need a challenge before I die of boredom," Scarlet added, grabbing a spoon and taking a sip of her ramen. "They also might have this Ordrak Stone thingymabobber that would probably destroy the world as we know it better than you and your siblings could."

Gluttony crossed his arms and glared at the buffcubus, who pretended to ignore him as she continued enjoying her meal. He couldn't keep it up, though, as three huge bowls of ramen greeted him. With a sigh, he shrugged and replied, "Well, I'm so sorry that we were stuffed here by the Sages instead of destroying things in the overworld. Nothing can ever be that easy, can it?"

Scarlet watched with disgust as the dullahan devoured his first bowl of ramen in mere seconds and wiped his mouth with a napkin. After putting it away, he smiled and continued, "Anyway, Flower Witches! Sunflower, Water Lily, and Marrigold! Three delightful little children! Heard about them after they broke into that manor and stole everything! They've done just about everything that would have them gutted and beheaded up on the Overworld, all for fun and games and a bit of street cred, I assume!"

"So they think they're a gang."

"Pretty much,  dear Scarly! The Ordrak Stone, I think they stole from an old, rattly alchemist who might as well be on his death bed, poor thing. Complaining about the blights of yore and how the end hath commeth and oh, you know, all those dark little things. Didn't even notice when his poor little artifact was stolen right under his nose! "

The succubi began to glare at the dullahan in unison before Scarlet said bluntly, "Skip all that. Where the hell are they going to be tonight?"

Another bowl, gone. A smirk plastered on the dullahan's face.

"Why, they'll be showing off in the Behemoth Plaza, of course~!" he replied. "They're inviting everyone to witness their little act of destruction! Such little rascals want all eyes on them when the world comes to an end!"

"Like hell I'd let 'em go through with it! I like the world as it is, thanks!"

"Me too!" Sora chirped, setting her hands on her hips and smirking.

"I dunno, I just really want the cash," Tina said with a shrug before smoothing out her little white dress.

Gluttony clapped a little and said, "Wonderful, wonderful~! Good to know someone is taking initiative!" He then  put his hands together, his expression changing into something more serious, as he continued, "But do know this: they have strong abilities to draw on. Fire, Water, and Lightning. If you plan on fighting them..."

Scarlet smirked. "Then don't underestimate 'em, got it." She then stood up, leaving what was left of her soup to the dullahan to devour, while her cohorts hurried and ate the rest of their sushi before following behind her. She did turn back to him and said, "Thanks for the tip, ya big glutton. Ya sure you don't wanna join us for the pummeling?"

"It's bad to fight so soon after eating, you know. Cramps are rather annoying, you see?" came the cheerful reply.

"Well, offer's open whenever. For now, see ya!"

The buffcubus then left with her two friends, the fires of excitement burning deep in her heart.

 Let the witch hunt begin.
