Okay, that thing about Dreamland not being able to handle Grimdark?
...Weeeeeelp. Thanks to having the most evil idea possible and October being... October, I just wrote the most depressing piece of Kirby work ever.
I'm glad that this is AU stuff and, if I do write out something about Pestus and friends, there will be a happier ending than this.
Now please feel free to let loose the complaints here :V

I think the issue is that it really clashes with the essence of Kirby. You can grimdark a LOT of Nintendo properties, but Kirby, while he may fight some dark and scary villains, tends to still have a very clearly defined line. Once you get into evil hordes committing massacres...it doesn't seem to quite gel.
